Engineering a digital
home for industrial-grade duct.

Plastic Design Industries (PDI) has fabricated PVC & CPVC duct systems since 1976 — but its website buried the products engineers came to spec. Yay Blitz rebuilt pdiduct.com around clear product pages and instant submittal downloads, then extended the system into a print-ready product catalog.

THE OVERVIEW

Five decades of fabrication
expertise, hidden behind a
dated site.

PDI serves a highly technical audience — engineers, contractors, and inspectors who arrive knowing exactly what they need: a fitting, a size, a material, a spec sheet. The old site made them dig, with product information scattered and no fast way to pull a submittal.

Yay Blitz was brought in to rebuild the experience around how buyers actually shop: browse by product, choose PVC or CPVC, and download the exact submittal PDF in seconds — then carry that same clarity into a print catalog.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Products hard to find and compare
  • No fast path to submittal PDFs
  • PVC vs. CPVC options buried in text
  • No print catalog to match the web
THE WEBSITE

Built the way engineers
actually spec

01

Product-first architecture

Reorganized around fittings — reducers, elbows, blast gates — each with sizes, end configs, and materials up front.

02

Technical visual system

Steel navy, safety amber, and a monospaced spec voice — confident and industrial without feeling cold.

03

Fast, spec-forward dev

Lightweight, responsive build with structured product data and instant submittal downloads that just work.

PRODUCT PAGES & POP-UP FORMS

The submittal is one click away

Every product page is a fast, structured spec sheet — pick a material, see dimensions, and a lightweight pop-up delivers the exact submittal PDF instantly. No hunting, no email chains.

ON-BRAND MODAL

The pop-up carries the same steel-and-amber system as the site.

LEAD CAPTURE

Every submittal request becomes a qualified engineering lead.

THE CATALOG

The same system, on the
shop floor

We carried the web design into a print-ready product catalog — spec tables, dimension drawings, and material guidance formatted for the desk, the field, and the submittal binder.
